Acute Nursing

The acute nursing department at Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems includes four separate units; Acute, Emergency/Outpatient Department, Intensive Care Unit and Surgery. Services provided in these areas include specialized care for post-surgical and orthopedic rehabilitation patients, medical patients, cardiac / telemetry patients, and infectious patients. Swing bed provides care for patients, who no longer need acute hospital services, but require specialized rehabilitative or restorative services for their complex medical problems.

Our professional staff includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nurse aides and unit secretaries. All registered nurses are certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

Following your stay, you may receive a survey in the mail. This survey is confidential and will provide vital feedback to us so we can improve patient care for all patients. Thank you for your time completing the survey.
