After the baby is born the mother and an individual of her choice are treated to a special dinner in the comfort of a private dining room to celebrate the event
The baby is cared for in a well-equipped nursery that is staffed 24 hours a day with licensed practical nurses that have been trained to care for the newborn immediately after delivery and during the hospitalization. All obstetrics and nursery personnel are trained in the Neonatal Resuscitation Program. Approximately 100 babies a year are born at Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems. |
