Long Term Care

Long term care unit is a 40 bed intermediate skilled care
unit which focuses on resident centered care. We provide many services to
help maintain or improve ones health. We work with the physical and
occupational department, along with our local physicians.

We have licensed nurses on duty 24 hours/ 7 days a week.
|

Our aides are certified through the State of Kansas. We
have an activities director and social service designee.

What is resident centered care?
Resident centered care is allowing choices. Our residents
are given the choice to pick what time they want to get up in the morning and
go to bed at night. They can choose when to have their bath or shower
given. They are given opportunities to make their life here as if it were at
home. There are many activities offered on our unit which gives anyone the
chance to do something during the day or evening. We are continuing to
improve on this every day to make our residents feel at home.

Room Rates & Insurance
Our room rates are: Semi-private $109.00 a day
Private room $114.00 a day
We accept private insurance, long term care insurance and
Medicaid. We are not a skilled facility so Medicare will not cover room rates.
Memorial Garden
The long term care unit started by numerous donations,
|
|
|
memorials and fundraisers to make an atmosphere for our
residents outside. The sidewalks were made so walkers or wheelchairs could
go freely around the garden. This area will give residents and families an
opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. We are continually working on the garden
so please feel free to come out and visit anytime.

If you would like to volunteer at LTCU please contact Sharon
Bean at 785-738-9592 or Pamela Hollerich at 785-738-9593. We are always
looking for people who would like to share a talent with us or just even read
a book to a resident. We have several programs to help with and appreciate
any time you have to offer.
