and psychologists work together under the supervision of a psychiatrist to provide appropriate, high quality acute care for every patient. Each patient is monitored for physical problems which can be addressed while they are patients at the SCU.
The SCU offers quality, cost-effective healthcare for patients with depression, anxiety, mild to moderate psychosis, dementia, self-care deficits and other acute psychiatric conditions.
