Meet Our Professional Staff
MaKita Francis, RN-BC, Program Director
I have been in the geriatric nursing field for 21 years. My passion is to give our older population the voice, the care, and the dignity that they deserve. I am currently attending the DNP program through Washburn University. I plan to sit for my PMHNP boards, once my schooling is complete. I have three children, one of which serves in the United States Marine Corps.
Sara Grout, LMSW
I have been a licensed social worker for 16 years. My passion is to serve others. Being a therapist at SLE allows me to do just that. I love the privilege of working with this older population to provide treatment and meet mental health goals. I am passionate about helping patients overcome barriers, learn new skills and reach new levels of functioning in this treatment setting. I believe in a holistic, multidisciplinary, patient-lead approach to healing. I live in Mankato with my husband and two sons.
Lela Haswell, Unit Clerk
I have worked at Senior Life Enrichment since we opened the doors in May of 2019. I enjoy working in mental health services because of my passion for helping people. I am married with two grown daughters and 8 grandchildren. I love animals, I have 2 dogs and 2 cats!
Carly Swafford, Unit Clerk
In August of 2019, I was blessed with the opportunity to join the team at Senior Life Enrichment. Before working here, I had no idea how important mental health services really are to our community. Through my experiences working at SLE over the last year, I've gained a new passion for helping others. Like Lela, I also love animals.
Shane Olson, Outreach Marketing Referral Coordinator
I grew up in southwest Kansas where diversity has always been second nature and something I embrace because of my respect for humanity. I love meeting new people, hearing their stories and using my abilities and resources to create a lasting bond. I have been with MCHHS since May of 2019 and I whole-heartedly enjoy marketing great mental health services to the communities of Kansas and Nebraska.
