Dietary Worker - PRN
MCHHS Dietary department has a current opening for a PRN Dietary Worker. Hours include at least two 8-hour shifts per month. If interested, hours could be more depending on shift availability. MCHHS is an equal opportunity employer with a new competitive pay scale.
Provides assistance in all dietary functions as directed/instructed in accordance with established policies and procedures. Sets up trays for patient food service on assembly line following posted and individual menus; sets up dining rooms for employees' meal service; is responsible for cleanliness of work area and for safe and sanitary handling of food, equipment and supplies. Unloads and thoroughly cleans food cart after each meal; prepares between meal nourishments for patients and delivers them to the floor. Prepares salads, dishes, desserts and assists with dishwashing
Qualifications:
Must be able to read, write, speak and follow written and oral instructions. No previous experience required. Must be willing to learn standards of attractive food service, high standards of sanitation, cleanliness and neatness. Must learn the basic modifications of diets and use of diet manual as well as proper technique for washing and storing dishes. Exercises judgment and initiative making last minute diet changes and satisfying patient's requests. Must be adaptable and willing to perform a variety of tasks as assigned. Must have speed in work and should have a desire to please.
