DONNA REMUS RETIRES FROM MITCHELL COUNTY HOSPITAL HEALTH SYSTEMS

Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems (MCHHS) is honored to announce the retirement of Donna Remus, Physical Therapy Aide, and to recognize her for 37 years of dedicated service to our organization. Donna’s last day with the hospital will be April 30th.

Donna began her career at MCHHS on March 10th, 1986, as an aide in Long Term Care before transitioning to the Physical Therapy Department, where she has made a lasting impact.

Donna and her husband, Scott, have two children: Meagan and her husband, Devon Housh, of Glen Elder, Kansas, and Brandi and her husband, Brent Emerson, of Glen Elder, Kansas. They are proud grandparents to five grandchildren: Kaylee, Kenzley, Kale, Peyton and Axton.

Donna shares, “I have greatly appreciated working in a supportive, family-like environment, where patient care was always a top priority. Many memorable moments were created during my time here.”

“Throughout her years at MCHHS, Donna's role encompassed a wide range of responsibilities. What stood out most to me as her director was the genuine connections she formed with inpatients,” said Amber Krier, Rehabilitation Services Director. “While assisting with treatments, she paid close attention to the small details that brought comfort to her patients—whether it was combing their hair before they left their room, offering a warm blanket after treatment, or ensuring their bedside table was just where they liked it. It's the little things that make a big difference.”

Please join us in congratulating Donna on her well-earned retirement and in expressing our gratitude for her many years of service.
