Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems Launches New Massage Therapy Services

Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems is excited to announce the availability of its new Massage Therapy Program to the public. This additional service is part of the hospital’s growing commitment to combine conventional treatment with evidence-based complementary therapies.

The program will feature a variety of services to meet your individual needs, from relaxation massage for stress relief, to gentle massage for expecting mothers, to targeted therapy for chronic pain conditions such as headaches, back pain, arthritis, and fibromyalgia.

“We're excited to offer massage therapy as part of our therapeutic service line,” said Amber Krier, Director of Rehabilitation Services at MCHHS. “It is a proven method for reducing pain, anxiety, and stress—common challenges experienced by most individuals.” Certified Massage Therapist, Maggie Eilert, is skilled in numerous massage techniques offering relaxation massage, deep tissue massage, sports/post-workout massage, prenatal massage, hot stone massage and cupping therapy.

You may schedule an appointment without a referral, making access to massage therapy convenient for those seeking support for pain management, stress reduction, improved circulation or general relaxation. Appointments may also be scheduled through a referral or recommendation by your physician, chiropractor, physical therapist, or wellness professional.

In addition to being offered to the public, this concept began as a part of the MCHHS employee wellness program, with dedicated massage sessions available for employees to promote mental and physical well-being. “We’ve seen an enthusiastic response to the launch of this program,” said Janelle Kircher, CEO of MCHHS. “When our team is healthy and supported, we’re better equipped to care for others.”

Massage therapy sessions are now available by contacting the MCHHS Rehabilitation Department. To schedule an appointment, please call 785-738-9405.
