MCHHS Birthing Center

One of the most rewarding parts of our lives is bringing new life into the world. That is why an important part of Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems is our labor and delivery unit. We provide a caring, attentive staff, the latest in delivery room care and the highest priority placed on the health of your baby.

Spacious birthing rooms, providing a pleasant home-like environment, are provided to accommodate your complete labor and delivery experience.

After delivery, the mother and an individual of her choice, are treated to a special dinner in the comfort of their private room to celebrate the event.

Babies are cared for in a well-equipped nursery that is staffed 24 hours a day with licensed practical nurses that have been trained to care for the newborn immediately after delivery and during the hospitalization. All obstetrics and nursery personnel are trained in the Neonatal Resuscitation Program. Approximately 100 babies a year are born at Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems.

Please contact us with any questions you may have prior to your delivery date.
