Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems (MCHHS) is seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Department Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our nationally recognized healthcare team in Beloit, Kansas. As a progressive, independent Critical Access Hospital and Level IV Trauma Center, MCHHS provides comprehensive emergency care to patients throughout north-central Kansas and the surrounding region. MCHHS is one of the largest critical access hospitals with 25 staffed beds, including a 4-bed ICU, and approximately 300 employees offering a comprehensive range of services rarely found in a rural setting.

Emergency Department Practice Highlights
Level IV Trauma Center serving north-central Kansas
2,500–3,000 Emergency Department visits annually
6 ER rooms, including 2 trauma bays
Emergency Department renovations and expansion coming soon
Broad-spectrum emergency medicine practice
Rapid access to surgical, obstetrical, and inpatient care on-site
Collaborative and supportive medical staff and administration - 4 Family Practice with OB, 2 General Surgeons, 1 Internal Medicine, 2 CRNA, 1 Pain Interventionalist CRNA, Wide scope of visiting specialists and surgeons
Two Full-Time Surgeons and award-winning da Vinci Robotic-Assisted Surgery Program
Comprehensive Radiology, Respiratory Therapy, and *Laboratory Services / Blood Bank
Accredited Birthing Center and Women's Health Services with 4 Family Practice / OB Physicians for deliveries and c-sections
Modern Oracle (Cerner) electronic medical record with AI-assisted documentation technology available to streamline charting and improve efficiency
Nationally recognized for patient experience, quality, and safety
25-Bed Inpatient Unit with a 4-bed ICU and 4 OB suites

Position Responsibilities
Provide emergency medical care to patients of all ages
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide variety of acute illnesses and injuries
Collaborate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, EMS, and ancillary departments
Actively participate in quality initiatives, trauma program, and patient safety
Serve as a clinical leader within a highly collaborative rural healthcare environment

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
Current and unrestricted license (or eligibility) in Kansas
ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certification (or willingness to obtain)
Current DEA registration
Comfortable managing a broad range of emergency cases independently, yet possess strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
